My name is João Cruz, I'm a photographer based in Porto, Portugal. I am currently working as a freelancer with a wide range of clients.
Recently I became a freelancer again, after four year as senior photographer at The Fladgate Partnership, a holding company that has businesses in Port Wine, hotels, restaurants and museums.
My personal work is based on the connection between people and nature, identity and sense of place.
I've been teaching photography and video since 2014 in several contexts.

I have very deep passion for travel and meeting new people. I lived for a year in Latvia where I volunteered in a Waldorf kindergarten. In 2018 I spent three months in Norway.
